Major retail stores that allow dogs

#1 – Home Depot

This home improvement chain, as well as Lowes, is very dog friendly. Yay!

#2 – Lowes

Lowes is a great place to take dogs because of the wide, concrete aisles. Bring poopy bags and paper towels in case your pooch mistakes this wide open space for the outdoors.

#3 – Bed, Bath and Beyond

More than likely you are going to get away with taking your best friend in this retail store. The staff will do one of two things. They will look at your doggies and say 'how cute'. Or, they will look and turn their head as if they didn't see you. Either way enjoy walking through this dense store with your doggie by your side.

#4 – Pottery Barn

While the idea of letting my bouncy puppy into a pottery barn makes me cringe (so many things to break!) this chic establishment does let dogs in depending on the location. I usually don't call ahead to see if my dog(s) are welcome, I just bring them :).

#5 – All Pet Food Stores

Of course they are dog friendly, duh.

#6 – Macy’s...maybe Nordstroms?

Macy’s has a long history of being involved with pets. From donating window space at their San Francisco store to the local SPCA to their Petacular and Barkfast event held in NYC, they love pets.
